Foldable tags are foldable labels that resemble a small booklet, providing more information storage space. Types include double-layer labels, triple-layer labels, accordion fold labels, and RFID foldable tags. On September 28, 2006, Justin C. King et al. applied for a related patent; in November 2024, Suzhou Jiangtian Packaging Technology Co., Ltd. applied for an improved patent. These tags are suitable for logistics, clothing, cosmetics, daily chemical products, and other fields.
Foldable tags can be designed in irregular shapes such as circles, squares, triangles, or rectangles, using a multi-layer structure to form double or triple folds, allowing for easy page turning. The base is often made of flexible materials such as paper or plastic film, some with waterproof and strong adhesive properties. The design reduces the adhesion area, lowering the probability of accidental unfolding. RFID foldable tags can still function in the folded state.
