Multi-layer labels refer to labels with one or more layers of ordinary paper or self-adhesive material of similar size and shape adhered to the front paper. These multiple layers are stacked together, meaning the label itself is composed of multiple layers of paper.
Multi-layer labels are also known as booklet labels, multi-layer instruction manual labels, multi-layer multi-sided printing, and are also called multi-fold labels, instruction manual labels, book labels, brochure labels, and folded labels.
They can generally be divided into two main categories: multi-layer composite labels (multi-layer stacked, multi-layer flip-page type) and multi-layer folding labels (spring-loaded, wavy, "accordion" folding labels).
